Speakers With Impact was started by Patti Pokorchak, who saw a need for organizations, who wanted qualified professional speakers for their events, but found that finding those speakers to be time consuming and nerve wracking. These outstanding speakers wanted to spend more time sharing their knowledge rather than marketing themselves – so it’s an all round win-win-win.
Patti’s previous business — Down to Earth Marketing — and being a speaker herself, put her in the exciting realm of speakers. More of her marketing clients were professional speakers, clearly needing and wanting her expertise. So she followed her own marketing advice – using that marketing ‘F’ word – FOCUS which is how Speakers With Impact came to be.
Patti has an MBA in marketing and 30 years of international sales and marketing experience at companies like IBM, Siemens and Learning Tree International which gives her a solid background in marketing speakers. She is an active member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) and will be on the board of the CAPS Toronto Chapter, starting in 2011.
